Halloween Picture

Halloween Picture 1

Ordinary to Extraordrinary

What do you think about this young girl just shopping on a normal Saturday afternoon? Is she starting a new fashion trend or did she actually forget where her underwear goes? In my search to discover why she was wearing the halloween themed underwear on her head, I snuck around to her aisle and followed her around the store. Sure, people stared but she didn't take the garment off her head at all! My question is how could she see where she was going? I suppose we will never know, now will we?! Anywho back to my story. I followed her around the store through many aisles, including a halloween one where I got this lovely picture of her. Finally, she stopped in the mirror aisle. My question was soon to be answered, I could feel it! As she walked past the largest mirror in the aisle, she turned to look at herself and for the slightest second, I could have sworn she fixed the underwear on her head. Turning it a little to the left so she could see out of it, she smiled and kept on walking. So, there it is. I believe she knew she had it on her head and she was just trying something new. However, perhaps she was just blind and she didn't know the difference between a pair of underwear and a hat. I guess you are the one who gets to make the final decision. What do you think? Starting a fashion trend or forgetting where the underwear goes? The mystery is yet to be solved.

"The Things They Carried."

I chose my father's class ring for this project because, for one, my family doesn't have anything cool that is old and valuable and two, I felt a connection with it. Everyone goes through high school once in their life, and everyone wants to carry something with them for years and years that will remind them of the good times they had while there. A class ring does that for not just my dad but for everyone who has ever had one! When you look at it, all of your high school memories come flooding back to you and it is a great feeling of joy and remembering. So, this ring is perfect for this project because my dad has carried it throughout his life, and it means a lot to him because, he will never forget his high school days and those days are so important to all of us.

How to Shoot Wildlife Article

How to Shoot Wildlife Article
By: Jim Zuckerman

In reading the article "How to Shoot Wildlife" by Jim Zuckerman, I have discovered that wildlife subjects can be divided under two catagories, wild and under human control. Either or will make great photos. Also, it isn't nesessary to take full blown shots of a wild animal. You can take a head shot of one in the zoo and it could look just the same. However, if you must shot an animal from a vehicle, that can turn out just fine too. In wildlife parks, taking pictures from cars is much nesessary. All you need is a stable platform that attaches to the drivers car door. One great tip Jim gives to all is, that you should focus on which type of wildlife you want to shoot. Search for what animals are around where you live and work with what you have available to you. Use the internet for more information on animals around you. Lastly, in order to have a great wildlife photo you need to use great lighting, stabalized lenses, and a tripod whenever possible.
